LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Foot Lounge, LLC, hasn’t paid Indiana $72,926.07 in sales taxes from Jan. 1, 2017, through February 2021, according to a judgment against the owner, Meilan Min.
Tippecanoe Circuit Judge Sean Persin sentenced Min on Thursday to repay the back taxes for her massage business in the 900 block of South Creasy Lane in Lafayette. He also sentenced Min to be on probation for three years, according to prosecutors, who charged Min in March 2022.
On March 29, 2023, Min, 60, of Lafayette, pleaded guilty to two counts of failure to remit taxes. Seven other charges were dismissed, including four theft charges, two additional counts of failure to remit taxes and one count of corrupt business influence.
Min opened the message business in August 2012, according to documents filed with the Indiana Secretary of State’s office and cited by prosecutors in court documents.

An Indiana Department of Revenue investigation found ledgers that documented daily sales, including credit card sales, cash transactions and tips, according to prosecutors.
Indiana has a sales tax of 7%, and based on the findings from the ledgers, Min owes $17,596.71 for 2017; $17,862.04 for 2018; $22,170.19 for 2020; and $15,297.10 in 2020, according to the Indiana Department of Revenue investigation cited by prosecutors.
