EU to Assess Digital Tax State of Play in April, Official Says


The European Union currently has no plans to bring back digital taxes despite slow progress in implementing global tax reform, but will “take stock” after G-20 finance ministers meet next month in Washington, D.C., the bloc’s top trade official said Tuesday.

“We will see what is the level of ambition in all the major jurisdictions, including the United States,” for implementing the so-called Pillar One agreement, said EU executive vice-president Valdis Dombrovskis, speaking after a meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels.
