Buying a Fisker Ocean
We wrote an article yesterday, Buying a Fisker Ocean: Everything You Need To Know, for those who haven’t reserved or pre-ordered a Fisker Ocean yet. If you’re new to the world of electric vehicles or searching for an electric SUV, the article and video above are perfect for you. The Fisker Ocean is a noteworthy choice to consider, with various trim options available, including the Ocean Extreme, Ultra, and Sport. Deliveries of the Fisker Ocean are anticipated in Q2 2023. Best of all, customers in specific geographies will be able to soon visit a Fisker Lounge and Center+ location.
Fisker Lounge Update
We’re now 1-week away from Fisker Center+ locations from opening at two European locations. Fisker is putting the finishing touches on two brand-new Center+ storefronts in Europe, set to open their doors on April 11th, 2023 in Copenhagen and Vienna. These locations are just the first of many planned for Europe and the United States. The initial Center+ sites in Europe are almost ready, with the Vienna location located at Simmeringer Hauptstraße 1, 1110 Wien, Austria, as indicated by Google Maps. Likewise, the Copenhagen location is situated at Taastrup Hovedgade 176, 2630 Taastrup. Fisker Ocean WLTP Update
The Fisker Ocean Extreme holds the title for the E-SUV with the longest range in Europe, achieving a combined WLTP range of 707 km/440 UK miles. However, the actual range may vary depending on several factors, such as environmental conditions, vehicle configuration, wheels, and usage. The EPA range figures are expected to be released soon. We share a tweet below which captured this milestone, because the photos in a reply show off the Fisker Center+ location in Vienna, Austria! (Woot, woot!)

EV Tax Credit
The IRS unveiled fresh guidelines on Friday pertaining to the eligibility for the EV tax credit. The latest guidelines center on EV batteries as a prerequisite to qualify for the full $7,500 EV tax credit. This long-awaited development in the EV industry, including for EV maker Fisker, will help with planning its production and supply chain going forward. Fisker customers that pre-ordered a Fisker Ocean during August 2022 with a binding contract should review the latest IRS publication with their Tax Professional, which states:
"If you entered a written binding contract to buy a vehicle after December 31, 2021, and before August 16, 2022, but took delivery on or after August 16, 2022, you may elect to claim the credit based on the prior rules. To elect the credit under the prior rules you must elect the credit on your 2022 tax return after you take delivery of the vehicle. Depending on the date the vehicle is delivered, you can claim the credit on your original, superseding, or amended 2022 tax return. If you purchased a vehicle between August 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022 but don't take delivery of the vehicle until 2023, see Credit for New Clean Vehicles Purchased in 2023 and After."
Fisker Ocean Production
In an article from last week, we discussed the production status of the Fisker Ocean, prompted by inquiries from multiple Fisker Ocean One customers who share our enthusiasm for receiving their limited edition launch vehicles. As you may recall, Fisker’s goal was to manufacture over 300 Fisker Oceans during Q1 2023. However, we do not have any fresh information regarding the current production status of the Fisker Ocean. Since Q1 2023 is now behind us, we’re hopeful that Fisker will disclose how many of the 300 Ocean units they intended to produce during the previous quarter were actually built. We anticipate further updates from Fisker soon, rather than waiting until the Q1 2023 earnings release.
